Horizon Europe
Horizon Europe is the 9th framework program of the European Union for research and innovation (2021–2027). It is the main funding program of the European Union for research and innovation. Following the mid-term review of the multiannual financial framework
(MFF), it succeeds Horizon 2020, with an indicative budget of €93.5 billion for the period 2021-2027.
The program addresses climate challenges, contributes to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and enhances the competitiveness and growth of the EU. Horizon Europe facilitates collaboration and increases the impact of research and innovation in the development, support, and implementation of European policies, while addressing global challenges. It encourages the creation and dissemination of knowledge and excellence in technologies.
By fostering job creation, fully mobilizing the pool of European talent, stimulating economic growth, and enhancing industrial competitiveness, Horizon Europe also optimizes the impact of investments in a strengthened European Research Area.
Program Structure :
Horizon Europe is divided into three main pillars :
- Scientific Excellence (ERC, Marie Curie, research infrastructures)
- Global Challenges and Industrial Competitiveness (health, climate, digital, etc.)
- Europe-Innovation (European Innovation Council, innovation ecosystems)

- 70% for IA for private companies
